In His Presence
Intro: My soul, wait silently for God alone, For my expectation [is] from Him.
Psa 62:6 He only [is] my rock and my salvation; [He is] my defense; I shall not be moved.
Psa 62:7 In God [is] my salvation and my glory; The rock of my strength, [And] my refuge, [is] in God.
Psa 62:8 Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God [is] a refuge for us. Selah
Abiding- to remain, abide a) in reference to place 1) to sojourn, tarry 2) not to depart a) to continue to be present b) to be held, kept, continually b) in reference to time 1) to continue to be, not to perish, to last, endure a) of persons, to survive, live c) in reference to state or condition 1) to remain as one, not to become another or different 2) to wait for, await one
John 15:7:”If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will* ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.
Jhn 15:5 “I am the vine, you [are] the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
- Once we come to the realization that it is God that we can’t live without and not people, places and things. Then we can truly live!
- It is without God that we can’t do nothing when we become dependent on people, relationships to be the source. Those sources are made to fail due to the flaw that we are all human. Many will disappoint, but God will be faithful because He is not a man that He should lie nor the son of man that he should repent.
- The things that we seem to depend on to give us a momentary happiness always wears off and reality always sets in that nothing has change. We are still the same and our situation is still the same.
- God is the only one that can create change in us and in our lives.
There is no reason for us to die spiritually on this earth in this time when we have access to the throne of grace and free access to His Presence. God is accessible, tangible, by our faith in Him. We who believe that He is! God is Alpha and Omega! The beginning and the end!
We have to realize that He has a perfect will for our life! God has a divine purpose but He also allows us to walk in His permissive will!
Many walk in their own way stating that bad is good is bad and the end there of is end. Because the only return sin can give back is death and an eternity in Hell.
When we are in His presence daily on earth it declares that we will spend eternity in heaven with Him also. Once our lives are saved access to His grace, favor, His righteousness is freely given to those who die to self.
For whoever will save his life shall lose it: and whoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. Matt 16:25
Isa 55: 6Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near. 7Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on him, and to our God, for he will freely pardon.
To many of us are dying to keep the life we have. Meaning- we rather keep drinking, smoking, partying living in sin continually and die for the pleasures of this world which are temporal and momentary.
James 4:14- Whereas ye know not what [shall be] on the morrow. For what [is] your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. NIV
Psalm 144:4 Man is like a breath; his days are like a fleeting shadow.
Psa 91: 1He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.a 2I will sayb of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”
Psalm 63 7Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings. 8My soul clings to you;your right hand upholds me.
God is looking for some people that will not move without Him. They will not live another day without talking to Him. Going deeper in Him those who will not live a surface relationship. Those who faces want change when circumstances don’t turn out the way they thought it would. Those who want compromise the truth. Those who will follow His leading step by step, day by day. Knowing that He will guide them in all they do.
